Flexibility and Stylish Functionality Help the Verwaynes Feel Right at Home

When the Verwaynes chose their spacious Southwest Atlanta home, they paid as much attention to the layout as the location. Choosing a house with good bones and a flexible floor plan meant that when they were ready to redesign they would have no problem changing things up.
Fast forward a few years when, after meeting Milton Miller and Lamont Bynum of Miller Bynum Design, the Verwaynes were ready to take the plunge. They gave their wish list to the interior designers and entrusted them with the project they had been contemplating for a while.
In response to the need for functional living spaces, Miller Bynum Design allowed rooms to transition into one another yet still stand on their own. Soothing color palettes and custom touches tie the whole house together.
The master suite has been transformed into a relaxing retreat for the couple. The adjoined sitting room is perhaps the best example of how every square foot has been put to good use. Being able to ease into their busy days by going from their hotel quality bed to their custom houndstooth chairs — and to reverse those steps at night – is one of the project’s biggest payoffs for the happy homeowners.
