Kafenio

3387 Main St, College Park, GA 30337

As South Fulton Lifestyle’s publisher pointed out in her Picks this month, the Greek influenced food here is deserving of rave reviews. Kafenio is touted as an “upbeat and modern version of a traditional Mediterranean café.” In addition, Kafenio features local craft beers from Sweetwater to A Night on Ponce, a wide selection of wines and coffee all day.  The owner restauranteur John Gianoulidis was intentional about choosing historic College Park as the location of the café. This shows his commitment to South Fulton and with bonuses like breakfast all day, it should be a pleasure to support Kafenio. For more information, visit Kafenio3387.com.

Urban Foodie Café

3841 Main St, College Park, GA 30337

The Feed Store in College Park has been a fixture in the community for years. But under new management, with new creative owners and a new name sure to grab the Urban Foodie in each of us, there are lots of fun surprises in store.  The café’s website states that Urban Foodie Café offers a “culinary experience with globally influenced cuisine. By transposing common foods into eclectic cool combinations, u.f.c. stretches the foodie’s palate.”

A great example of the surprises that Urban Foodie Café has in store is a recent beer tasting for local brewery Brothers that Brew.  The full bar features both craft beers that compliment  food artist Chef Michele Tompkins creations and wines such as Truvee, produced by the McBride Sisters winery.  Featuring not only Friday evening events but also a personal chef  service and food lab, the reimagined Urban Foodie Café is a treat that is not to be missed.
