Good things are happening all over South Fulton. Add to them the fact that South Fulton Landscape & Nursery is creating a Farmers Market and Community Garden in South Fulton. The over 12 acres of the nursery includes 18 Commercial Greenhouses and a 200 Gallon per minute well that provides unlimited water for the entire site. The company started out as full service landscape and supply nursery but has evolved to be one of Atlanta’s premiere companies for commercial landscape. Among the many commercial landscape projects they have completed include Wolf Creek Library, Adamsville Health Center, Metropolitan Library, and Cedar Grove Fire Station #15.
Frederick Hill, President and CEO is excited about the many possibilities. He says, “We would like to create this Farmers Market and Community Garden in response to the overwhelming demand for convenient quality landscape material and supplies in the South Fulton community. We are looking for entrepreneurs interested in starting their own landscape nursery business. We have 18 Commercial Greenhouses, each one capable of supporting a small business. Similar to the Farmers Market in Forest Park, we can offer a variety of trees, roses, plants, sod and can also facilitate Organic Vegetable gardening, which can be sold directly to the public as well as local restaurants and businesses. We are 100% committed to supporting and mentoring interested entrepreneurs in starting and growing a successful landscape Nursery business. We are prepared to offer the right businesses 100% free greenhouse space for one year.”
There is also additional space that is designated to the South Fulton Community Garden Club. Hill is in search of local individuals, organizations or groups to help get the SF Community Garden Club started for the upcoming spring gardening season.
