With more than three decades in the South Fulton area, the Grimes family has a passion for South Fulton like no other and is proud to call the SWATS home. Residing in the heart of Southwest Atlanta’s hidden treasure, Wynn’s Way at King’s Lake, they’ve become fond of the relaxing lake, beautiful landscapes, friendly wildlife, unique trees and plants and top-notch neighbors.
Growing up in College Park, Atlanta, Kenneth attended both undergraduate and graduate school in Atlanta. Currently the owner of G3 Builders, LLC, a building and construction company specializing in residential construction, Kenneth’s primary market is in the South Fulton area.
A transplant from North Carolina, Pilar has lived locally long enough to be called a “Georgia Peach.” She serves as a Senior Human Resource professional supporting the Workday Practice at Accenture-DayNine.
As a family, the Grimes strive for a solid work-life balance, and with three active boys (Garrison, Grayden and Grant) under the age of 9, fitting everything in can be a challenge, but one this family is currently winning. One of the reasons for their success is that South Fulton is such a great location, with convenient access to the major interstates, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and various parts of metro Atlanta.
The two older boys attend school at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn. The youngest attends Kids R Kids. Both schools teach to the ‘whole child’ and as parents, they see the benefits of this daily. Pilar is very involved at both schools volunteering as room mom and school admissions parent ambassador. The boys play Tiger Soccer at Trammell Crow Park and football at SCORE Indoor Sports. Kenneth coaches both sports. They enjoy robotics and STEM activities at Mental Fitness in Union City. The boys are also active at KiDsGyM in College Park and Cub Scouts where Kenneth serves as a Den Leader for Troop 3310. With such an involved schedule, shorter commute times make it easier for them to participate in the activities they enjoy.
Team Grimes, as they often refer to themselves, has an infectious love for God and a thirst for adventure. In their free time, you can find them serving at Linked UP Church, supporting community fitness events, such as the annual 5K Cascade and Sickle Cell 7K Runs, experiencing the arts at the Southwest Arts Center, attending events at Wolf Creek Amphitheater, encountering wildlife at the Cochran Mill Nature Center, enjoying story time at Wolf Creek Library, visiting the Camp Creek Marketplace or simply throwing the Frisbee in the backyard. The Grimes make it a priority to support this area—it’s the very best way to grow a community.
