Chef Mark Davis Jr. was born and raised in the inner city of St. Louis, Missouri. In 2007, Davis left with a vision to re-create the catering industry and relocated to Atlanta. Chef Mark founded Portrait on a Plate Catering and built it upon two basic principles: quality entrees and exquisite presentation. Utilizing over 25 years of catering and hospitality experience, Chef Mark is a third-generation chef specializing in American Fusion cuisine and corporate catering.
Chef Mark later partnered with wife, business coach and entrepreneur Marcia Davis to take the company to the next level. Portrait on a Plate Catering offers extended services, including mansion party packages and exotic “Go Girls” in addition to a full-service catering experience. With an array of partner venues across the metro Atlanta area, the dynamic duo is unstoppable.
Most recently, in 2014, Chef Mark and Marcia created a thriving new food concept they call “Cook and Sip.” The social cooking class is held in an entertaining, fun and social environment and brings people together to experience exquisite cuisines from around the world.
Chef Mark and Marcia recently renovated and upgraded their facility and expanded the Cook and Sip experience to include “Cook and Sip Party Buses,” celebrity guest classes, “Cook and Play” classes for kids and “Jazz in the Kitchen” pop-up restaurant nights.
