Citizen of the Month: Cameron “Camy” Arnett

Cameron “Camy” Arnett is a television, film and theater actor, as well as a television and radio talk show host. Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, the South Fulton resident has lived in Atlanta since 1998. He is married to the love of his life, B.J. Arnett. Together, they are the parents of a blended family of five wonderful children.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the entertainment industry, the movie, “Champion” (which opened in theaters May 19), is amongst his latest acting credits. “Champion” is a story of forgiveness set in the world of dirt track racing wherein a moment of personal rivalry leads to tragedy with one man fighting for his family and another fighting to forgive. Camy plays the role of Logan Evans.

Past film credits, to name a few, are “Marc Pease Experience,” “Man’s Best Friend” and the five Dove Award-winning “Stand Your Ground.” His past television credits include NBC’s “Miami Vice,” Fox’s “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” ABC’s “China Beach,” “Doogie Howser MD,” and Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns.” Other recent roles include Dr. Corso in the film, “Badge of Faith,” Derek Dallas in “Mission Improbable,” Mike in “Extraordinary,” Coach Bradford in “The Order of Rights” and Pastor Barnes in “Adrenaline,” produced with his wife.

As a speaker and host, teaching God’s Word is Camy’s passion, along with raising youth in the areas of the Kingdom, Media and Business. Camy has facilitated events and spoken at churches, colleges, award shows and more. He is also a regular host on WATC TV57 “Atlanta Live Show,” and of course, a co-host on TCV’s, “The Christian View.”

Quite the entrepreneur, Camy is the CEO of Camy Arnett Production Studios (CAPS), a television, film and entertainment company, as well as the CEO of BYOBB Media/Records, an independent film and television portal and record label. He is also the producer and director of “Jesus is My Booski,” a children’s show, “BYOBB Blast,” “BJA Today” and “It’s Pivotal.”

Camy and his wife began shooting their first feature film, “Mattie: The Discovery,” in May. You can look forward to a book or two from Camy later this year.
