“Friends know all your faults but like you anyway.” —Charles M. Schulz
Hello South Fulton,
Y’all know how I love to travel. And to kick off the summer every year, I meet my sorority sisters in different locations, sans husbands and kids, allowing for just sisterhood and relaxation. Last year we went to Puerto Rico. This year we journeyed to California wine country: Napa, Sonoma and Santa Rosa. We drank lots of wine and had lots of laughs. We visited the Brown Estate Tasting Room, owned by an African American family, and had an absolute ball. And as reflected in the words of Santa Rosa’s own cartoonist and creator of Charlie Brown and Snoopy, there’s no time like time spent nurturing friendships formed over 20 years.
As my plane descended over the lush treetops of beautiful #Sofu, I felt rejuvenated. But more than anything I was glad to be back. It’s nice to get away, but like Dorothy said in the “Wizard of Oz,” “There’s truly no place like home!”
So, where are your travels taking you, South Fulton? This month’s cover picture was submitted by Kim Ormsby of Decorator’s Den from her trip to Morocco. Wherever the summer takes you, please let us know and send some great pics!
Happy Trails & Many Happy Returns,
