Catina Wilson Cruises for a Cause And Raises Funds For Breast Cancer Research

Last November, Catina Wilson of Cruise Planners participated in a two-day, 30-mile breast cancer walk with It’s the Journey, an organization that provides free services to those diagnosed with breast cancer and funds grants for breast cancer research. All money raised stays in Georgia. Wilson participates in a team called Simply the Breast led by Carletta Cunningham, a breast cancer survivor. The entire team comprises brown and black women and has raised over $70K for It’s the Journey in just four years!

One of last year’s team fundraisers included “Cruising for a Cause,” sponsored by Cruise Planners with Norwegian Cruise Lines. A portion of the proceeds were donated to team Simply the Breast. Bert’s Big Adventure Hosts Private Holiday Reunion Adventure

More than 60 Bert’s Big Adventure families from past trips recently gathered for the annual Holiday Reunion Adventure. The festivities took place at Phipps Plaza, where families were joined by the Bert’s Big Adventure staff and a handful of volunteers for a great evening.

Guests enjoyed an exclusive celebration filled with arts and crafts activities from Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh, dancing, pictures with the legendary Santa at Phipps Plaza and more. Families also enjoyed appearances by a variety of Disney characters and a celebratory dinner provided by Maggiano’s Little Italy. Santa at Phipps generously donated photo packages to all families in attendance.

Through its exclusive and unique reunion events, Bert’s Big Adventure strives to strengthen its community and friendships, providing families with one-of-a-kind event opportunities to enjoy VIP experiences and intimate family time away from doctors and hospitals. The reunions also give the families a chance to renew and refresh the bonds and friendships created during their trip to Walt Disney World.
