Théâtre du Rêve Presents French Theater

FRENCH THEATRE IN OUR OWN BACKYARD!

Atlanta’s unique French-language theatre, Théâtre du Rêve (TdR), took

audiences on a magical journey this March with their performance of Il

Etait Une Fois (Once Upon a Time), the story of three 17th-century

French women creating a new fairy tale. The play recreates the world

of French Salons during a time when women, who didn’t have access to

formal education, used stories to share ideas and secretly criticize

the king and the restrictive society they lived in. TdR performs in

French with English supertitles. – – – – – – – –

Summer in France Right Here in Atlanta!

Kids love TdR’s summer camps, where they mount a play in one week’s

time while learning from energetic, outgoing theatre professionals.

Camps are an immersive, diverse theatre experience, with workshops

ranging from scenework and improv to mime and design. Last year’s

production, Beauty and the Beast, was a big hit!

Upcoming camp dates are June 11-6, 2018, for students who have

completed grades 7-12, and June 18-23, for students who have completed

grades 1-6.

No French is required! For more information about camp, email caitlin@theatredureve.com or call 404.875.3829.
