Radcliffe Bailey and Leslie Parks Bailey of Cascade Heights Served as Host Committee Co-Chairs!
The 19th Annual Art Auction represented 19 years of getting it perfectly right. To say the least, I can only imagine how nice the 20th Art Auction will be next year, because this affair had the perfect synergy and was completely sold-out!
The Art Deco theme, top-shelf cash bars, delicious cuisine from popular local restaurants, an abundance of collection-worthy art, spirited live music and a hot local DJ made this an evening of just the right vibes of good karma for the art scene. And did I mention the weather was also perfect? This should definitely be a must-attend event for art lovers both young and old.
The show featured artwork from over 250 artists from around the world with unique visions and talents. It was truly impressive and hearing the spectator buzz around the room was electrifying. Watching bidders and funds raised go higher and higher was very exciting! I recommend taking part in the VIP Preview, which provides an opportunity to buy artwork prior to the public bidding at retail plus 20% and trust me, the outstanding art did well and was moving during this preview.
Categories include Ceramics, Fiber Art, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Work on Paper. Bidding was strictly and exclusively through Smartphone, which was so exciting as I watched well over $100K raised to benefit Art Papers’ award-winning programs. The attire was unique, funky, classy and sassy—everything goes.
