Summer has already officially begun but the heat wave has already our city.  A favorite way to cool off in this weather is with some delicious ice cream.  We live in a city full of amazing cool treat shops and we’ve been on a search for some favorites to visit this summer.

Kilwin’s- Atlantic Station

You can smell the handmade fudge and delicious chocolates as you approach the store.     Forty different flavors of ice cream and it’s worth the wait!

Yogli Mogli-Douglasville

Five locations serve up a wide variety of flavors mixed with seasonal fresh fruit and other treats.

McCoughtry’s Ice Cream

WNBA Star and Olympian Angel McCoughtry opened one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets in 2017 at 177 Peters Street SW Atlanta, Ga.  Angel’s love affair with ice cream is being shared with her hometown and in our opinion,  you’ll feel just as comforted as she did.  Be sure to try a specialty flavor like Salt Bae or Oh Snap!

Jake’s Ice Cream- Old Fourth Ward & East Point

Since 1999, this Atlanta favorite is no secret to natives, especially if you live along the belt line.  Their expansive list of flavors really covers anything you could think of and they will even create a flavor for you! Several locations around Atlanta, and the newest location is at 1650 Washington Road, East Point, Ga.

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream

Located in the Westside Provisions on Howell Mill Road, Jeni’s is serving up some amazing sweet treats.  Jeni’s ice cream is served by the Pint in several Publix Super Markets and the General Store at Serenbe and online.
