SoFu Chic

Both Fabulina and P. Sherrod are produced by designers with South Fulton roots, both ladies starting their businesses when they lived in the Camp Creek area. As I chat with the ladies in Donna’s studio, I can’t help but want to hang out with them more, seriously pondering whether I should crash the brunch they are planning with other a few other creatives this weekend. Laughter fills the studio but these ladies are serious entrepreneurs with an eye for beauty.

Be Bold with P. Sherrod’s Brightly Colored Leather Lifestyle Bags

Sidebar: What’s in a name?

Fabulina was a old nickname that a friend use to call me. Using from the word Fabulous…”Fabu” and then “lina” just sounds feminine.  She put it together and made Fabulina.  So when I started my company, I liked how it sounded.  I felt it described the jewelry.  It was fun, cute and catchy to say .  People would always say…how Fabulous! and I would say, “Hence, the name.”– Charline Shelby

The name P. Sherrod was inspired by a friend and supporter of my vision for the brand.  Back in 2009, I was visiting a college friend who was living in South America.  It was during that visit that I was introduced by my friend to a wonderful family who manufactured leather goods.  I’m not sure the business would have gotten off the ground had it not been for my friend’s local presence and support. Paying homage by combining names and initials produced the chic, mysterious, unisex brand name I was looking to achieve.– Donna King
