Ozzie Areu’s Career Rise Makes Hollywood Endings Seem Unimaginative

Effervescent and authentic, Ozzie Areu learned from Perry along the way. “I could have made the wrong deal (in purchasing the studio). I had to stick to my guns and believe in myself, people around me and God, and not make a bad deal out of desperation,” he said. “Tyler was a boss at making deals that made sense for him. He could walk away from deals when he didn’t feel they were right. . . .I had to do that.”

Areu made the right one, and now, for legions of minorities, “We can inspire (and) create hope,” he said.
