Over one hundred Chatt Hills Charter parents, teachers, administrators, and friends of the school gathered to solve a whodunit, bid on silent auction items, enjoy dinner and music and learn a little more about Chattahoochee Hills Charter. Bloom hosted its fourth annual exclusive ladies-only fashion event connecting women with local stores while raising funds for The Bloom Closet, a cost-free clothing boutique for foster children in Georgia. The fashion show featured Fayette County local gems such as Lizard Thicket, Fab’rik, Darling Divas, and Tribal Chick.

The Alma G. Davis Foundation Presents 8th Annual Dinner for Divas Hosted by Sterling K. Brown and Benefitting Survivors of Domestic Violence

The nonprofit organization, dedicated to the eradication of domestic violence, hosted its gala to empower 150 female survivors. Honorees received complimentary makeovers, including formal attire that they wore to the red-carpet event and took home. Each survivor participated in free self-defense classes before the gala. A group from Westlake High School visited the historic Beijing to expose students to another culture, language, and educational system. 
 Visiting the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden Palace, they were able to make real connections with their AP social studies courses and historic sites.

NAASC-Atlanta Chapter Raised Over $50,000 at Spelman Blue on the Greens

The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC) – Atlanta Chapter hosted its inaugural charity golf and tennis event. Organized by a dedicated group of alumnae, the signature event was held at White Columns Country Club in Milton, Ga. The event supports the Every Senior, Every Year campaign.

"A Prevue of Celestial Pearls" featured 16 high school seniors from schools in DeKalb County, Fulton County and Gwinnett County, and provided scholarships funds.

15th Annual Bert’s Big Adventure Trip Provides Fun at Walt Disney World for Kids from Atlanta, Macon, Charleston and Nashville

Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit that provides all-expenses-paid, five-day journeys for children with chronic and terminal illnesses, hosted the trip of a lifetime for 13 children and their families who were VIPs at Disney parks and enjoyed front-row access to fireworks. Victims of Child Abuse and Abandonment

Named for the unique chairs artistically painted and donated by community artists, the event raised funds to support the ongoing needs of the abandoned, abused, and neglected children who now live safely at The Children’s Village at Christian City in Union City.
